WE ARE FULLY FUNDED!
Primordial Playing Cards Kickstarter has officially ended with just over 160% Funding! Over 700 backers pledged over £33,000 to bring this project to life. Thank you again everyone for backing Primordial Playing Cards. I loved creating this project and couldn't have reached the finish line without your support.
So... What Happens Next?
Payment Processing
Within the next week or so, your credit/debit card will be charged by Kickstarter for the amount you pledged. Although rare it happens, if Kickstarter is unable to process payment on your saved credit/debit card for any reason they will automatically send you an email notification asking you to update your payment method within 7 days. Afterwards Kickstarter will automatically process your payment as normal.
BackerKit Surveys
I am already in the process of setting up your surveys on BackerKit now which I will send to you shortly after Kickstarter processes your payments. This survey will allow you to confirm all the rewards and add-ons you pledged for during the campaign, enter and confirm your shipping addresses for delivery come fulfilment time, as well as any additional info related to each specific reward tier.
The BacketKit surveys will remain live for a period of 30 days before being locked. During this period you will be able to revisit them to make changes, update addresses and add/purchase additional add-ons if needed.
Manufacture
Once your BackerKit surveys have been locked I will then begin the manufacture process for the Primordial Playing Cards decks and add-ons. Artworks for the project have already been approved by the manufacturers so once the BackerKit surveys are locked the manufacture process begins without any delay or waiting times for approval.
I will be working hard between now and July with all those involved in the manufacture and fulfilment to get these decks in your hands and during each phase will be posting updates so you all can follow the process from start to finish.

Project Update: Primordial Uncut Sheets Released!
– Sat, Feb 09, 2019 at 05:34:52 PM
Hello, everyone!
I'm happy to announce that the Primordial Uncut Sheets are here!
For those of you who may not know uncut sheets are simply the sheets of the printed cards, front, and back before they are cut into the individual cards. They are very much a collectors item for all card players and enthusiasts. The sheets measure approximately 26" tall and 22" wide.
These uncut sheets are printed on both sides and feature the individual Primordial deck designs, card fronts on one side, and card backs on the other. Rolled up carefully and put into a hardened cardboard tube for maximum protection during delivery. Uncut sheets are taken straight off the press and varnished uncut sheets are perfect for framing.
Important note for all backers:
There is no need to adjust and increase your current pledges for the uncut sheets.
Both sheets will be limited to a run of 25 each (50 total) and will be available as exclusive add-ons through the BackerKit surveys that are sent to you shortly after the campaign. This is to ensure that the sheets remain within the specified limited quantities and that there is no overselling.
As with all other items listed in the campaign, shipping within the United States for the Primordial uncut sheets are free. For international backers who want to secure any uncut sheets, the shipping is £10 for tracked and recorded delivery - but there will be no additional shipping charges applied for securing more then one sheet (as they would be all shipped in the same postal tube).

Project Update: Primordial Two-Way Double Sided Art Prints are now available to add individually!
– Wed, Feb 06, 2019 at 07:21:46 PM
Hello everyone,
Just a quick update to inform you all that the Two-Way Double Sided Art Prints are now be available to add individually to your pledges as opposed only being available previously in the current sets of four listed on the main campaign page.
There are 16 to choose from so plenty of choices for everyone - and you can mix and match as you please!
NOTE: If you increase your pledge for four or more prints the listed discount postage rate will automatically be applied to the total on your BackerKit survey which follows the campaign.
SPECIFICATIONS
I just wanted to do a quick update to outline as well about the specifications for these add-ons and what makes them something a little more special in terms of quality as opposed to normal printing.
Card Stock: 16pt card stock is one of the most luxurious available paper for full colour printing hence my choice to use it on both the art prints and the posters. It provides the superior thickness for printed material. 16pt paper looks and feels much more expensive and deluxe as opposed to standard 100 lb gloss text paper. You can see the comparisons on these two short videos:
Limited Edition Numbering: As these are limited edition items as well, each and every print will be individually numbered using the Variable Data Printing method. VDP is a method of printing that uses software to change the output of a digital printing press to personalise each printed piece with unique information from a spreadsheet or database. In our case I will be applying limited edition numbering to each print in similar numerical fashion to the seals on the tuck boxes of the Primordial decks.
Gilded Edges: The other benefit of using a higher quality and thicker card stock is it allows for a very special addition. No doubt a method all you will be familiar with. All the art prints listed above will have gilded edges as well. As you can see from the examples below done in similar fashion these will certainly give the prints brilliant and vibrant colours from all sides.
Finish: All the Primordial Art Prints and Posters in the campaign will have soft touch finishing applied. In printing, the term “soft touch” is used as a reference to any finishing method that adds a velvety-soft feel to print materials printing where distinctive qualities are important.
Something a little bigger, maybe?
Did you know that the larger Primordial Gig posters available in the campaign as add-ons will also be finished to the same specifications above as the art prints? Check them out!
How to add the above items to your existing pledges is very simple. Simply select the manage your pledge option and a separate page will open up with a list of reward tiers including the current one your have selected, whichever it may be. In the box which shows the total amount pledged simply calculate and adjust this total amount by adding any of the amounts listed above for the individual prints.
Here is a small video guide for anyone that needs it: Video
As before if you are unsure and would like me to check the maths before you make any changes relating to the above, simply message me a list of what you have already pledged towards and the total you currently have, a list of what you would like to add and I will double check everything is correct or provide you with the amount you need to change to.

Project Update: Primordial Playing Cards are 100% funded + Special Edition Carat Case prototypes have arrived!
– Tue, Feb 05, 2019 at 05:27:27 PM
Hello everyone,
Primordial Playing Cards is now over 100% funded!
I'm pleased to say that Primordial Playing Cards has now been fully funded!
We are only one week into the campaign and have already reached the target which is simply amazing!
Great news for all and I can't thank you all enough for backing this project and bringing it to life. I can't wait to get things moving forward now once the campaign is over!
Primordial Special Edition Carat Case prototypes have arrived!
Sherman Tsao of Carat Case Creations recently shipped me the first prototypes of all the cases in various sizes and colours which I'm pleased to say have finally arrived, so I'm also excited to share the first previews of these cases...
We originally decided to test out laser engraving on both clear see-through lids as well and in the end I chose to settle on the black lids for the Primordial Carat Cases as I felt they helped to match the colour scheme with each of the decks and the different colour cases. The foil sleeves will be the final cherry on the cake!
There were a few minor issues with the laser-engraving on the black lids (as you may have noted in the images above) due to micro cracks which caused a slightly rough finish to occur but Sherman has informed me that shortly after the prototypes were shipped to me this issue has now been addressed and we can proceed with the manufacture of the cases without any further hindrance.
As most of you know, Sherman has worked with many of the top designers to create custom cases, including Butterfly Playing Cards, Mint Playing Cards, Stockholm 17, Thirdway Industries, and Vanda Playing Cards to name just a few) so most card collectors will be familiar with him, and in all likelihood own one or several of his custom carat cases so I can't think of a safer pair of hands to oversee the manufacture and delivery of these special cases and we are both looking forward to getting things moving once the campaign is over.
As standard, all cases will have neodymium magnet pairs to keep the back panels strongly attached while allowing for easy access to insert/remove your decks, rubber pads (with adhesive included) to place on the bottom of the cases for protection of surfaces if needed and also will include a set of acrylic spacers to place in between decks on the larger X2 and X4 editions.
